As part-time teaching assistant at the FU Berlin (1972-77), my focus were research methods; afterwards, at the Science Center Berlin (1977-84), the relations between industrial work and myocardial infarction; at the same time, I planned a research project on occupational down-grading.
At the FH/HAW Hamburg (1984-2007), I had a very high teaching load. My research activities were often short-term (e.g., computers in social work; AIDS prevention; design of a course of study in health science; geronto-psychiatric care; evaluation controversies in prevention policy).
